Do I have to log in on my normal computer or can I also log in elsewhere?

NARIS GRC® is supplied as a SaaS (Software as a Service) application. This means that NARIS GRC® can be accessed from anywhere that the internet can be used. This means that NARIS GRC® is available 24/7 (anywhere, anytime). The data is stored on an ASP server but remains the property of your organisation at all times.

How is NARIS GRC® secured?

Apart from making it possible for you to use NARIS GRC® at any location, we also apply various forms of security to ensure that your data is protected. Naris protects your data and and secures the data traffic with highly sophisticated encryption techniques. These techniques provide for the encryption of the connection and validation of the user’s identity. Access to the system itself is managed by the client. You can set the rights and roles of users to block certain functions and data, as you so wish. Data which is held by the client/user in the NARIS GRC® database remain the property of the client or data manager at all times.

Who can I contact if I have a question about the use of NARIS GRC®?

Which web browser should I use for NARIS GRC®?

For the best presentation results with NARIS GRC® we recommend that you use one of the following web browsers:  Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari or Google Chrome. Our software supports the latest version of these web browsers and up to two older versions.

We use a Citrix environment. Will that cause problems?

Because Citrix is an external and configurable system we cannot guarantee that NARIS GRC® will work properly. In our experience, however, using NARIS GRC® in a Citrix environment does not cause any problems.

Can several people at the same time work with NARIS GRC®?

NARIS GRC® is a web-based multi-user application. It can therefore be used by several people at the same time with no difficulty.

Who is authorised to see and change risks?

NARIS GRC® has an authorisation and roles hierarchy. In this way risks and measures can be easily entered per department and each user has their own access rights for each individual department. For example, someone may be a user in department 1 and a guest in department 2. This means that this user may make changes to the risks or measures of department 1, but not of department 2. In department 2 this person will only have viewing rights. Where a user has several roles, they can switch roles in the action menu.

Which simulation method does NARIS GRC® use?

Simulation is modelled on the basis of the Monte Carlo method. In a simulation 10,000 runs are made based on the chances and consequences of all risks to create various scenarios. This means that 10,000 different scenarios are calculated, in which a risk may manifest one time and not another. The scale of the risk can also be varied per scenario.
