Met name de volgende drie ontwikkelingen vragen de aandacht:<\/p><h3>1. Disruptie &gt; intrinsiek<\/h3><p>De bank van tegenwoordig ondervindt niet alleen meer concurrentie van andere banken, maar wordt tevens geraakt door nieuwe ontwikkelingen zoals Apple Pay en financieringen via LinkedIn of andere platformen. Op het gebied van hypotheken krijgen traditionele banken daarnaast steeds meer concurrentie van pensioenreuzen te verduren. Door\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/robertthart.risicomanagement.nl\/2013\/12\/03\/kaplan-externe-risicos-big-bangs-en-sluipmoordenaars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">externe, technologische ontwikkelingen, grotere netwerken en demografische veranderingen<\/a>\u00a0komen steeds meer bedrijfsmodellen onder druk te staan. In deze \u2018disruptieve tijd\u2019 (en door wankelende bedrijfsmodellen) kijken veel organisaties vooruit en hanteren ze structureel risicomanagement als basisinput bij het bepalen van de bedrijfsstrategie. Deze organisaties willen weerbaar zijn en in staat om snel in te spelen op nieuwe ontwikkelingen. Risicomanagement is daarmee\u00a0<strong><em>intrinsiek<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0geworden, in plaats van het weinig inspirerende vinkje voor de accountant.<\/p><h3>2. Governance code &gt; risk appetite<\/h3><p>Het voorstel voor de n<a href=\"https:\/\/robertthart.risicomanagement.nl\/2016\/03\/01\/monitoring-commissie-governance-concretiseert-risicomanagement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ieuwe governance code<\/a>\u00a0(commissie Van Manen) vraagt steeds duidelijker om een risicoanalyse, een aantoonbaar werkend risicobeheer instrumentarium maar ook om een\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/robertthart.risicomanagement.nl\/2016\/03\/31\/risicobereidheid-of-risk-appetite\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">risk appetite<\/a>\u00a0statement van de directie. Met risk appetite wordt het aantal risico\u2019s bedoeld dat de directie wenst te lopen bij het behalen van de strategische doelstellingen. Een ander belangrijk punt is de verantwoordelijkheid voor het cre\u00ebren van een cultuur waarin incidenten worden gemeld. Het gesprek binnen directies over\u00a0<strong><em>risk appetite<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0zal dit jaar stevig op de agenda komen.<\/p><h3>3. Kaplan: drie soorten risico\u2019s &gt; dialoog<\/h3><p>Kaplan zet drie soorten risico\u2019s uiteen:\u00a0te\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/robertthart.risicomanagement.nl\/2012\/06\/10\/kaplanmikes-risicomanagement-een-nieuw-raamwerk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">voorkomen risico\u2019s, strategische risico\u2019s en externe risico\u2019s<\/a>. De waarde van het model van Kaplan schuilt in het feit dat het risicomanagement hiermee uit de pure\u00a0<em>control<\/em>\u00a0hoek wordt gehaald. Natuurlijk moeten we risico\u2019s proberen te voorkomen, maar niet ten koste van alles. Zeker als je bedenkt dat het merendeel van de grote faillissementen wordt veroorzaakt door externe ontwikkelingen en externe risico\u2019s. Kaplan pleit voor het faciliteren van een\u00a0<strong><em>strategische dialoog<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(in plaats van lijstjes en regels). Hierdoor wordt risicomanagement voor het management beter te behappen en een minder administratieve aangelegenheid.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
